Awesome Twosome – The Upcoming rugged androids

The new Motorola- acquired by google (See our previous post- MotoGoogle), is all set to capture the smartphone market with new strategies. This time they have come up with a new rugged handset to lure smartphone customers. Although, They have already introduced a rugged device earlier- DEFY but now they are going to make it better by launching DEFY plus.

Defy Plus is a magnificient new product from Motorola. The main problem with a smartphone is its care. Scratch, dust and water can render a good smartphone ugly looking and function-less. This is where Defy plus works. Defy plus is a Dust proof, Scratch and water resistant phone. It has got a nice design and gives rugged as well as cool feel. Camera is 5 megapixel. With Corning gorilla glass, it’s scratch resistant. Screen resolution is 480 by 850 and Screen size is 3.7 inches. It runs on android 2.3 aka Gingerbread which is supported by 1 GhZ processor.To run all these features without a glitch, it is supplied with a marathon battery of 1700 mah. So, Motorola has left no stone unturned in making this phone irresistible.

To take on the Defy family, the numero uno smartphone maker, Samsung has Galaxy X cover up its sleeves. This phone, like other Samsung android phones ,is a smart looking android 2.2 device. The main feature is its rugged body. Like Defy & Defy plus, it’s also scratch and water resistant( 1mtr for 30 min). Other features are of a midrange smartphone- 3.2 MP camera, an average battery and screen resolution. It’s coming in October and will be pitted against the Defy brothers. It’s upper hand is its price which will be lesser than Defy Plus.
