Airtel disappoints its GPRS-EDGE surfers

Airtel has slashed the data usage limit to half in India. Previously it was 2GB with one time recharge of Rs 98 and now it is 1GB with 1 month validity.

It’s a disappointing move considering the hike in call tariffs last month. Subscribers are already facing expensive call rates and now this expensive internet package will compel the airtel subscribers to use number portability provided that other operators decide not to change their plans.

In coming days, it’s expected that other players like idea, vodafone will also jump to the bandwagon. Dropping profit margins and competetion with 8-9 other service providers in a single circle is the reason behind this revision. So, wait and watch for few days if you want to leave your present network.
